Charlie had a wonderful third birthday. Literally all of our friends got together at the old house and helped to disassemble our wooden playscape, lent us a pick up truck, and came and re-built the monstrously heavy old thing in our new backyard. Charlie was extremely surprised and they have been playing on it since Saturday afternoon almost non-stop!
This is the pink cake with all the sprinkles and all the candles that he wanted. It was a great day. Thank you everyone!!!!!!

Wow, playscape! what a dream!!! awesome birthday gift, even if it's not technically new. Happy birthday Charlie, you used to 'play' the toddler for (most of) this blog...
I read this a while back, but didn't get to comment since life was CRAZY!
Charlie looks so big. Isn't it interesting to see the change between 2 and 3? 3 enters the realm of little boy and leaves babyhood behind forever. How's he handling not being the baby anymore?
Ben has gotten a little more crazy and less baby-like since Rachel was born. He's also not particularly nice to her, but since he ignors her 90% of the time I'm not too worried yet. We'll see what happens as she becomes mobile and more interactive.
